Refund policy

At Sword Market Art, each katana is a handcrafted collectible artwork. Due to the unique nature of custom forging and artisanal craftsmanship, we generally do not accept returns or exchanges based on change of mind.

Our refund and return policy applies only in cases where the item arrives damaged, defective, or significantly different from the product description.

Order Cancellation

  • You may cancel your order free of charge within 6 hours of placing the order.
  • If cancellation is requested after 6 hours, we may apply a 20% restocking fee plus any incurred packing and logistics costs, as production may have already begun.
  • To cancel, please contact us as soon as possible at service@swordmarket.com. We will review and process your request within 24 hours.

Return Window

  • For quality or damage issues: Returns are accepted within 30 days from the date of delivery.
  • After 30 days, returns are generally not accepted.

Return Conditions

  • The item must be returned in new, unused condition, with all original packaging, accessories, and documentation intact.
  • We may request photos or video evidence of the issue to assess the claim.
  • Returns must be shipped to the address provided by our support team. Returns sent to incorrect addresses may be rejected.

Return Shipping Costs

  • Defective or Damaged Items (due to our fault): We will cover the return shipping costs.
  • Change of Mind / Customer Responsibility: The customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
  • We strongly recommend using a tracked shipping service for all returns.

Restocking Fee

  • Change of Mind (after 6 hours): Up to 20% restocking fee may apply.
  • Defective / Damaged Items: No restocking fee.
  • Shipping and handling fees are generally non-refundable unless the issue is due to our error.

Quality Guarantee & Resolution

If you discover a craftsmanship or quality issue, please contact us immediately. We will evaluate the situation and, at our discretion, offer repair, replacement, or refund.

We are not responsible for damage caused by:

  • Improper use, sharpening, or modification
  • Abuse or mishandling after delivery
  • Normal variations inherent to handcrafted items

Refund Processing Time

Once we receive and inspect the returned item:

  • Approved refunds or replacements will be processed within 3–5 business days.
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.

How to Initiate a Return

  2. Provide your order number and describe the issue (with photos if possible)
  3. Wait for our instructions and return address before shipping the item back
